Rubber Trees House Plants: Now Landed

Few indoor plants capture the imagination of our fans as much as owning a Rubber Tree. They are ridiculously difficult house plants to come by, and those that have been lucky enough to get their hands on one, see them as prized plant companions.

I remember telling my friends about "these amazing plants" that I'd seen on Pinterest and that their leaves "kind of plonk themselves in different directions, like this" (hand gestures hand-sized leaves arranging themselves in different directions).

Wasn't soon afterwards that I discovered their names: Ficus Elastica, or Rubber Tree. These exquisite species are related to the Rubber Tree, the latex of which is the primary ingredient in the production of rubber.

Here's a fun fact: It takes 4 mature Rubber Trees one calendar month to produce enough latex to make an average car tyre.

At Plantify, we're overjoyed to have some of these beautiful house plants in stock at the moment. And in different varieties too!

We hope that you won't latex-bleed your Elastica, but rather appreciate it for it's heart-moving foliage! Essential house plant this.
